I’m an interdisciplinary artist and writer from the Canary Islands and the United States. After studying law, I spent 3 years working at the Columbia University Law Library and followed that with 8 years in international sustainable development operations as senior program manager and analyst. While based in New York City, I co-founded and ran the bilingual gender justice education project Las Marías (2016-2020).

I’m currently based in Spain, where I mostly work as a teacher and translator, while I pursue an MA in Contemporary Art, Literature and Culture with a research track at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. My thesis investigates the generational differences in responses to liminal experiences within new media art and literature.

My practice-based research explores archive construction, the use of language and sound in generating liminality within narrative digital art experiences, and interactive narratives. My practice is anchored in real-world concerns (environmental and social justice) and my work and experience in these fields permeates everything I do. I also take immense pleasure in making people laugh. I try to generate the feelings that my favourite art, research work, and fiction gift me: the joy of running into a good puzzle, amusement, enjoyable unease, etc. And of course the excitement around the sense that anything is possible within a world of the mind, that there has to be a way for that space to seep into reality.
